Why do we do what we do?
There are many reasons why we do what we do, but the most important reason we do this is for our candidates. Our clients count on us to deliver honest and loyal career minded, hard working people that have the desire to succeed and will do whatever it takes to be successful.
What we will not do
We are not a temporary agency and we are not in the business of providing short term assignments. If an employer is not willing to commit to providing our candidates a real opportunity to get there foot in the door, showcase their talents and grow from within, WE WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. As you can imagine, that has narrowed our market tremendously and we've had to walk away from a lot of new business opportunities with local companies because they weren't a good fit for what we are trying to accomplish. This has led us to a much smaller client base than most of the companies in our industry, but has solidified our reputation as one of the most elite recruiting firms in the Southeast.

The odds are staked against you..As of January 1st 2015 8.5 million Americans were unemployed. They, like most of the other unemployed job seekers use Job Boards to search for openings that match their career goals and are within their geographical area. Jobs posted on one of the many Job Boards receive an average 400 applicants over the life of the posting. Depending upon the industry, location, position, duration and compensation it could be a lot more than 400 or a lot less. Either way, it is going to be an uphill battle when you have an influx of applicants and only one opening available. The bottom line is, that we are going to be in an employer dominated market for the better half of the foreseeable future and ultimately that means you become a small fish in a big pond.

We created this company to bring a more personal touch to the recruiting process for our nations most deserving men and women. What we found was that somewhere in this industry a trend of dehumanization of the person behind the employee and the family that counts on them to provide had emerged. Profits became more important than the unselfish actions and the morality involved with connecting great people with companies that were offering meaningful careers. Job seekers have become stock-in-trade to some staffing agencies and are sold or leased to the highest bidder. We are trying to reverse this trend one candidate at a time. We judge our success on both candidate and client satisfaction. Our candidates and/or employees are a direct reflection of us and we want to be sure that they are completely content in their new opportunity. Because you will be representing all of the NOW Hiring Heroes candidates, employees and staff, we are extremely transparent in everything we do. This is why we make you fully aware that we are not a job board from the very start. You need to be fully aware that if you apply to your dream job on our page, we may call you that afternoon, we may never call you, we may call you a year from now, or we may call you in a couple days. What we won't do is lead you to believe that we have a position available for you starting in a couple of weeks so that when a customer places a large order our stock room is full. If you are looking for something temporary or what the staffing agencies call, "Assignments" you're in the wrong place.
Are they Professional Jugglers or HR Managers?
Human Resource Managers don't have the time or resources to attract, recruit and hire the best person for the job. HR managers have multiple responsibilities other than hiring. In today's working environment the Human Resources department no longer has a specialist for each area of operations. The HR Managers of today's economy are called HR Generalist. Therefore, where as HR divisions used to separated by department and divided up into 3 or 4 HR Specialist, now the HR Generalist must do it all with a fraction of the staff and substantially less financial resources. Here is a VERY short list of their duties; Safety Programs, Employee Handbooks, Health Insurance Administration, Business Insurance, DOL compliance, OSHA compliance, Employee Welfare Plans, Performance Evaluations, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits this list could go on for ever. THE POINT I'M TRYING TO MAKE IS..... How much time do you think they have to set aside solely for recruiting, screening, phone interviewing, checking references, conducting assessment tests, interviewing, selecting the top 3 candidates, conducting second interviews, and then making a hiring decisions? My guess is... Zero!

It should be the standard in recruiting. Early bird doesn't get the worm in this scenario and here is the reason why; Like email inboxes the most recent email you received defaults to the top of the list and the ones you received 3 hours ago may be 20 to 100 emails below the most recent. This is the same thing that happens when applicants submit their resume to a Job Board posting. Using the last bullet point above that explains how overwhelmed the HR managers of today are. Where do you think they're going to start? My guess is at the top, and if you were the early bird, the worm was already long gone by the time it was your turn to eat. This flaw in the Job Board's model can do major harm to the morale and confidence of some of the most talented people in the job market today. Let it be known, that if you are under the assumption that your resume will be considered or at the very least opened for review by a hiring manager, THAT IS NOT THE CASE the majority of the time.
The bottom line is....
the job board rapid fire "Quick Apply", shotgun, post and hope method is dead and most staffing agencies look at job seekers as a commodity. You must do the ground work and differentiate yourself from your competition. We can only be a secondary resource to your primary efforts. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, we suggest you try something different.
